Donations

When you donate to Martha’s, you are helping to provide a safe, welcoming environment for impoverished individuals, children, and families, and empowering them to transform their lives with dignity. Our programs and services address educational needs, employment, hunger stabilization, professional case management, and childcare. All Contributions Made to Martha’s Village and Kitchen are Tax-Deductible. This means your donation dollars stay in the Coachella Valley to help our local neighbors in need.

Something happens in a person’s life, financially, mentally, emotionally and/or physically, to cause them to temporarily lose their ability to care for themselves.
Unlike most shelters, Martha’s Village provides residence, meals and educational programs, job training, children’s services, counseling, recovery services and an on-site medical clinic to help those in need regain their self-sufficiency.

Martha’s Village serves an additional 300 to 500 local neighbors a day with access to a hot meal, our medical clinic, and emergency food packages from our pantry.

Martha’s Village is a professional service center where residents must commit to following a structured program of classes, chores, and house rules. They must search for and obtain employment, and find reliable transportation and housing to continue to receive the services we provide and reach their goal of becoming self-sufficient.

Residents in our emergency housing program can live at Martha’s Village for up to 3 months. In that time they are working closely with a case manager to obtain a monthly income and acquire affordable and safe housing.
