John and Sofia Gamlin of Sofia’s Cinema will be providing the equipment and setting up this giant outdoor movie screen to show a family-oriented feature film to the residents of Martha's Village & Kitchen, many of whom have not been able to afford a movie for a long time.
Sofia, born and raised in the Coachella Valley, is only 11 years old but her father John is teaching her about the business world and about giving back to her community by having her be part owner/operator in this business. This new venture, Sofia’s Cinema, started this year and is available to show movies at almost any location throughout the valley, including hotels and country clubs.
In addition to showing movies with his daughter, John is a real estate developer working on projects in California, Palm Beach and Kiawah Island. Sofia’s Cinema can be reached at 949-870-3206.
