(Indio, California—June 12, 2010) – Every summer, Martha’s Village & Kitchen sends dozens of children to summer camp. Some of the children attending the camps lead difficult lives and summer camp is a way for them to escape their troubles and simply “be a kid.” This year, Martha's Village & Kitchen will be sending 25 kids to summer camp in August. These children are in need of sleeping bags, backpacks, flashlights, reusable water bottles, sun block and lip balm. These items are needed before the end of June and can be donated directly to Martha's Village at 83-791 Date Avenue in Indio. Martha’s Village & Kitchen also accepts monetary donations at the same address.

Martha’s Village & Kitchen is the largest provider of comprehensive homeless services in Riverside County.
